Fact is, 2013 is ending in a couple of days. Whether you’re sad or excited to leave it behind, it’s best that you welcome the brand New Year with a bang. But where do you go? What do you do? Here are 5 places which have something special planned for the occasion.

Welcome the brand new year with lots (and lots) of colours! To ring in 2014 with an explosion, Siloso Beach Party will be the filling its tubs with UV PaintGlow; and when the clock strikes 12, it will rain on the partygoers and they will be drenched in colourful paint.
While waiting for this momentous occasion, attendees will also enjoy some upbeat music, courtesy of the local DJs in town. They will be spread out within 5 distinct party zones - Main Area, C Side (Coastes, Bikini Bar & Sand Bar), Azzura Beach Club, Wave House Sentosa, and Mambo.
There will be enough food and beverage kiosks scattered along the different zones; and these will be serving the hungry mouths with food and drinks to help them retain that energy all through the night.

It’s the Universal Studios Singapore, so expect the countdown event to be family-friendly. On New Year’s Eve, some of the theme park’s well-loved rides and shows will operate until 1am. Oh yeah, that includes the Transformers 4D Ride, Shrek, and Canopy Flyer. Take the opportunity to enjoy these before the ultimate fireworks display at Lake Hollywood.
Music will also be a big part of the festivity as tribute artists will be entertaining the crowd with hits from pop stars like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. While waiting for the New Year to begin, you can walk around the park and witness jugglers, balloon sculptors, and face painters. For sure, the kiddies would love that!
