Waldorf with a Hic salad, $10.80
For some new additions to their main courses, they introduced a key ingredient which puts us in a festive mood--alcohol. For starters, you can order the Waldorf with a Hic salad ($10.80). It’s prepared with fresh Romaine lettuce tossed with almond flakes, raisins, and lemons. What makes this different from other salads are the fresh grapes infused with whiskey. Go try it and see if you can handle more alcohol-infused dishes. If you are, then you can also try the Drunken Masta ($16.80, $18.80) which can be ordered with 1 or 2 shots of tequila!
Skinny Dip Chips, $13.50
Now, enough alcohol talk and let’s move on to the other appetisers. One recommendation is their Skinny Dip Chips ($13.50) which is warm tortilla chips served with 3 dips of artichoke, blue cheese, and chilli. However, be warned: once you start eating this, you won’t be able to stop!
Yankee's in Town, $14.50 and Romeo and Juliet, $11.90
As for the main dishes, bacon lovers will be pleased to know about the comeback of Yankee’s in Town ($14.80) and Romeo and Juliet ($11.90). Remember those extra special with the meaty strips of bacon you couldn't get enough of? You can relive them again!
3-some, $11.80 and Bring Me to the Dark Side, $11.80
NYDC has always been known for their desserts. And for their 17th anniversary, they have also introduced 11 new ice cream cakes which have very interesting/fun names. Have a slice of Bring Me to the Dark Side ($11.80) for your chocolate indulgence or A Coffee Affair ($11.80) for your coffee fix. Another must-try is the 3-some ($11.80) which is a sandwich of multiple layers of different flavoured ice creams, chocolate chip cookie dough, and graham crackers!
These new additions to the menu will be available until March 2013. So when you do get the chance to dine at NYDC, make sure you try out these items! 开饭 Loh!
