Seafood and international favourites aside, you can now sink your teeth into classic Thai fare at Marina Mandarin’s Halal-certified buffet restaurant AquaMarine from now till 31 March 2013.
Take a culinary trip to the Land of Smiles and whet your appetite with Guest Chef Aek Charttrakul’s signature dishes. Appetisers such as the highly addictive Kao Tang Na Tang (Crispy Rice Crackers with Chicken Dip – pictured left), Mee Krob (Crispy Noodles in Sweet & Sour Sauce – pictured right) and Yam Pla Duk Foo (Crispy Catfish & Green Mango Salad) make perfect starters before you dive into the mains.
You can’t say you’ve truly had your fill at a Thai restaurant until you try two main Thai cuisine stars – Phad Thai (Stir-fried Noodles with Prawn – pictured right) and Tom Yum Goong (Spicy & Sour Prawn Soup with Galangal and Lemongrass – pictured left) – and there’s no reason why you should give those a miss here.
Finally, for the sweet stuff we all seem to have a second stomach for no matter how full, there are Thai desserts such as Sang Kaya Fuk Tong (Steamed Pumpkin Custard – pictured left), Sakoo Peak (Sago with Sweet Corn & Coconut – pictured right), Gluey Buad Chee (Banana in Coconut Cream) and of course, the iconic Khao Neow Mamuang (Sticky Rice with Mango).
In addition to Thai fare, you can tuck into other signature items like the fresh selection of seafood, from juicy oysters to fresh lobsters, plus well-loved sweets like red velvet cake and sinful fried durian rolls.
