Ice Kachang ($2.50) is a national iconic dessert that is loved by many, seemingly easy to make but difficult to perfect. I've had many good and bad ice kachangs, and this can be considered to be one of the better ones. First, the corn syrup and corn kernels drizzled on the ice mountain is sweet but not diabetic, and makes the whole dessert much better than just the gula melaka syrup. Next, the red beans at the bottom were fresh and yummy. There was only one attap seed, which was a little stingy.

I've had many good and bad ice kachangs, and this can be considered to be one of the better ones. First, the corn syrup and corn kernels drizzled on the ice mountain is sweet but not diabetic, and makes the whole dessert much better than just the gula melaka syrup. Next, the red beans at the bottom were fresh and yummy. There was only one attap seed, which was a little stingy. :/ The other jelly bits were also scarce. They could cut down a lot on the food colouring, the red colouring was a little overkill.
As a whole it's enjoyable and refreshing. The food court is quite empty at about 9pm, which makes dining comfortable. Usually Food Republic at Vivocity is super crowded and difficult to find seats during meal times.

Brought one of the traditional dessert ice kachang after lunch. This bowl of ice kachang look appealing as it is drizzled with different colours of syrup and is topped with cream corn. Other ingredients includes red bean, cube jelly and atachi. Ingredients used were fresh and sufficient. Taste wise is not too sweet, not too diluted and taste cool and refreshing. Other than ice kachang, this stall also sells some of the old days dessert that includes cendol and more.

I forgot to take the photo of my dessert.I only realised after i finished it.Never mind, i still remember the taste.I really craving for ice cream at that time,so i order the pulut hitam with icecream.It's out of my expectation.I thought they will give me vanilla flavour one.But it is not.They give me mango flavour icecream.It is very weird combination rightYa,very weird,so i finish the ice cream very fast after i get it.If not,it will melt n will mix with pulut.I dont like the combination of th

Ya,very weird,so i finish the ice cream very fast after i get it.

It's really disgusting.
But if seperate them,they taste quite nice.
Especially the pulut hitam,it is smooth and nice.The sweetness is also just right.
