Been 4years since I last visit Taiwan and I am missing Taiwan food such as Ah Zong Mian Xian, lu rou fan and Chicken Cutlet. Been sourcing around for nice, yummy Taiwanese food but cannot really find one that I like till I chance upon this Ke Kou Wei...The mee suan that is sold here has 2 favours for customers to choose from: the usual oyster mee suan or the pork ribs mee suan. I have chosen the oyster mee suan, the soup is thick and yet not starchy, the oysters are fresh and the soup is tasty and flavourful. For the oyster mee suan, they have set available at $7.30 that include either the crispy chicken/popcorn chicken/Crispy pork/crispy calamari/mushroom fritters and a drink.. personally, I find this set quite worth the money as the serving is quite huge and is very filling..As I am eating outside, I decide to buy the popcorn chicken for the mee suan set for easy consumption. The popcorn chicken is crispy on the outside and yet tender and juicy on the inside. Still very nice and crispy even when I eat it when its no longer hot.I also buy a packet of lu rou fan ($4.80)for my hubby, hubby says this is nice, the minced pork is well marinated and the soya sauce is thick and yummy.. this rice also come with 1 braised egg and some prickled vegetables...The food here is reasonably priced and I will definitely come back to try the other food again..

Other than the famous shih-lin in Singapore, Ke Kou Wei now offers another place for you to satisfy your craving for some Taiwan style mee sua. Ke Kou Wei has been around in Plaza Singapura basement for quite some time and I am a frequent visitor for their fried chicken/ pork and mee sua. The Mee sua is smooth and to me it's consider not bad. If compare with shih lin, I think both taste almost the same, just that I think the portion given from Ke Kou Wei is slightly more than Shih Lin. Also bought the fried mushroom and pork cutlet, which I think both tasted good also. The aunty on duty that day must be in good mood cos she gave really big portions! They have different sets (Meesua+another side dish) for $6.90+ onwards, a good deal instead for a filling meal.

We were shopping at plaza sing and had craving to bite and munch. Pretty much sick of fastfood fries etc, and wanted something different (as usual) for a change. The chicken chop and "tian bu la" was nice and flavourful. Reall reminds me of the times i was in taiwan eating nightsnacks at the nightmarket !tianbula is $2chicken chop is $4Comes down to one question, What is the stall name? Snackz it! ? or Ke Kou Wei? Confusing.

If you prefer your mee sua which is filled with more vinegar fragrant, this version selling at Ke Kou Wei will be able to impress your taste bud. The mee sua is very smooth in texture and also the thick soya sauce gravy is very fragrant and tasty and with abit of slight spicyness from the pepper added to it. The oyster is quite big in portion and also juicy and fresh as well. With some cut parsley added in it will even enhanced the flavour of this dish too.

This chicken cutlet cost $3.80 and the chicken was tender with a little bit of juicy feeling. I had it spicy and i find that the spicyness was alright as it did not cover away the real taste of the chicken. However, i find that they could add more powder to add-on to the taste. Also, their portion was pretty huge so it is good to share with someone and also not get sorethroat so fast!
