I always ended up with my favourite sour plum drink from this dessert stall whenever i am in this food centre for lunch or dinner. This stall is not only famous for ice jelly but also for this sour plum drink at $1.00. This drink has got a distinctive sour plum taste to give it a refreshing sourness with a comforting sweetness to make this an idea thirst cruncher to combat this crazily hot and hazy weather. A handful of ice cubes were added to keep it chilled but not to further dilute its taste

After lunch, i decided to share a ice jelly with my partner. The ice jelly is priced at $1.30. It is a simple yet refreshing dessert. A good portion of ice jelly was served on the pile of shaved ice with a bit of sweetened syrup added. The taste was further enhanced by squeezing the lime into it. It has got a good balance of sweet and the sour taste. It is a fantastic dessert on a crazy hot day.

安记香滑文头雪 An Ji Ice Jelly sells a wide variety of ice jelly that makes really good dessert to sothe your throat during a sore throat or just to cool you down in a hot afternoon. I particularly love their ice jelly with a scoop of ice cream on top. It is like double joy! This ice jelly has got shaved iced and red bean syrup on it which makes it slightly sweeter than the others. Taste SUPERB!

What more can i ask other than a bowl of cold and refreshing dessert like ice jelly? ice jelly is known as Ai Yu Jelly in Taiwan, one of my favourite when i was there for work. The ice jelly from this dessert stall recommended me of the Ai Yu Jelly that i used to have in Taiwan. It was really good. The ice jelly was soft and a little chewy with a nice refreshing taste and it tasted really nice with the shaved ice. I will come back again.
