Was back at this market to have their carrot cake, 2 doors down the very awesome carrot cake was another competitor called seng kee. I decided to try and compare. Service was pretty quick. They even bring it to you. For a plate of $2 carrot cake, it's not bad service at all. I dug into it excitedly. Their carrot cake has lesser eggs and was firmer in terms of texture. It has it's own attractiveness. But I preferred his friendly competitor 2 doors down. Seng Kee's carrot cake was less tasty to me as well.

Price: around $2 onwards for a plateI ordered a plate of white carrot cake with chilli. The chilli taste was not strong and was mildly spicy. The carrot cake was also cut into 4 parts for easier eating. It is different from other carrot cakes stall as the carrot cake here is served in large pieces instead of scattered pieces. Portion was reasonable for its price. I'll go back for it again.

Well, this is one of the few rare carrot cake stalls that sells their carrot cake with generous cai poh! There used to be long queues at this stall before the renovation work at bukit timah market, but now.. I find that the queues are getting more bearable than last time.A good plate of carrot cake cannot without any caipoh (or too little). The magic of the minced caipoh cannot be underestimate.It bring the carrot cake to another level with addition crunch and tint of saltiness to it.It's really delicious, especially when it's being serve with addition chili. What can I say? I'm a cai-poh lover, and most carrot cake stall are rather stingy with their cai poh. At $2.50 per serving, it's definitely worth the wait
