Went there for supper and ordered fried fu zhou fish balls, iced milk tea and fried youtiao. Everything is average except the milk tea. Milk tea has a very authentic HK flavour and I love it! I also like the way the milk tea is served in a metal cup. The sauce provided for the fishball does not really go well with it. dinner to celeb mum's and sis in law's bdae..the drinks ordered were yuzu green tea and iced lychee tea..the service crew is nice, even told us to remove the tea bag after 2-3 mins..next, chicken chop.. it was being served warm..chicken is tender and not too oily..followed by stir fried beef with spaghetti..giving pple the feel of mixture of western and chinese..i had dry noodles with diced pork cubes..the noodles is no longer the same..it was maggie mee previously but this time round it's more of "kway teow"..it also carries a very strong sesame oil smell.. :(the side dishes, stir fried sambal four season bean..it's very crunchy, not too spicy and nice fragrant!also, we had prawn paste fried chicken..it goes well with the chilli sauce that comes with it..it's crunchy and there is a layer of the tracing paper look alike to absorb the oil..:)lastly, we had a free birthday platter which consists of all fried stuff..not very attractive tho..total damage is about $60-$70..…查看更多

dinner with mum..ordered seafood horfun, chicken chop with spaghetti, fried gyoza, ice lychee tea and soursop..this meal cost about $35..the horfun is kinda cold when served:(,probably it has been placed on counter for awhile before serving..taste nice tho..chicken chop with spaghetti may be more of western food,but the sauce that was being poured onto the chicken chop is different!something that i will not miss when i go xin wang..the fried gyoza is far too oily,but, the whole gyoza is filled with filling,get to eat the filling more than the "skin"..another drink that i will not miss is iced lychee tea,the lychee really goes well with the tea.highly recommended!…查看更多

The menu of Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe is really attracting. It is really suitable for those who love Hong Kong style food. There are many type of Chinese style food. Finally i ordered the chicken floss fried rice. The taste is so special and the chicken floss that given is just enough. Inside the fried rice contain fresh prawn and many other seafood. I tried the eel porridge for the first time. It tasted alright though the serving for the eel is not too generous but the taste is quite acceptable. The only complaint is those fine bones within the eel. The porridge has got a nice eggy taste though a bit too watery. The level of saltiness is just right but i guess i would not order it again. The signature HK Ying Yong is decent. It is simply a mixture of tea and coffee. The strong coffee aroma with the sweet and bitter tea taste makes the whole drink nice and you will yearn for another sip. i ordered the HK style chicken with mushroom baked rice. Mine took a rather long time to come but it tasted not bad to me. My friend enjoyed her spaghetti too. Although the place was very crowded, but the waiter's service was good. The Baked Pork Spaghetti was covered with a huge lump of cheese. People who really love cheese will love this dish. The pork was fairly cooked. The spaghetti was just normal.The Mushroom hot pot congee was really good. I love it. There is a fair amount of mushroom. However the rice should be cooked longer as it somehow taste like rice rather than congee. The spring roll is crispy with vegetables inside. The "har gao" and "Siew Mai" is really normal. It's a sunday night and there's still quite a crowd though its school or work next day. I grab a seat with my study pal at Xin Wang Hong Kong Café to have some supper before continuing our studies which was left over when the library close at 9pm :( Anyway one bad thing is that the two of us can't get the plush seats but i guess cause its the 2 of us only. And its good so we don't fall asleep Anyway i decide to get a kaya toast bread to munch while study pal L decides to grab a cup of their holicks! I would say their toast bread is so so as compared to ya kun's. But i think the holicks is real nice when L lets me have a seat. Its like a back to childhood feeling And we also ordered a tao huey to share and i really like how they serve in an old fashion bucket style! The beancurd is real smooth and best of all you can choose how sweet you want. century egg pork porridgewas sick and so i just ordered the porridge. My friend was so good that she dont allow me to eat other fried or spicy thing. :( anyway we waited quite some time before the porridge came, and that time i was quite sick and hungry, the environment was cold to me too, so the long time waiting really give me a bad impression to this restaurant. moreover, the porridge was not nice! If you have got craving for chinese food, do visit xin wang. They offer a whole menu of chinese hong kong food. They do have lots of food for you to choose from and you might now know what to order. This udon soup from Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe is quite big and generous in portion. The udon in the soup is quite chewy and thick. Would be much better if more sliced chinese mushrooms and cut vegetables are added to it. The soup base is quite thick and have that nice braised meat taste in it. The Braised meat in this dish is quite tender and juicy, think the chef has cooked this braised meat for quite a few hours. The milk tea and other beverages are just alright, which is not really comparable with this udon soup's standard. Would love to try their other soup dishes during my future visits soon. …查看更多

This baked rice is quite nice.Just the amount is too many,so i will feel oily after eating half bowl.Some of the part of the rice dint have sauce,so it is quite tasteless.Their kungfu is not yet until very high standard yet.I like this yuan yang very much.It taste like the teh tarik from malaysia.Is Tea plus milk.The sweetness is just right.So i like it.I like this black pepper chicken spaghetti,The balck pepper sauce is very nice.The spaghetti is also quite nice.Although the combination is quite weird.They are nice is seperately eat.…查看更多

I've patronised this restaurant quite a number of times, and I always try something new, since their menu is always adding new dishes to it. This time, I ordered their chicken mushroom bamboo rice, along with teh bing and grass jelly bits. :) Firstly, my bamboo ride was interesting, as it was cooked in a bamboo container, which made the rice very fragrant, and the chicken, mushroom and veggies had the "stewed" texture, and also a dash of claypot rice feel to it. It's definitely filling, and because of the bamboo container, the food is kept warm throughout. :) The drink was so refreshing and milky, the way I like it, but I think if you're thirsty, you shouldn't add grass jelly bits, it sort of gets in your way of slurping Well, I do recommend this place. …查看更多

My fren loves this place, so as we were meeting for dinner, without having to ask i alrdy knew where she was planning to bring me.It was 6pm, mayb it was early, so there wasnt a queue when we got to the cafe. There were only a few people seated inside too. We were led to a booth at a corner, which has a circle table and sofa seats. It could accommodate about 4 ppl. Ordered the chicken baked rice (I simply love baked rice), while my fren ordered baked spaghetti (it was actually supposed to be rice but the staff said it was alrite when my fren wanted to change it) :). Service was pretty slow although there wasnt alot of ppl, and we waited quite a while before the food arrived. My fren's order was served wrongly for the 1st time (came as baked rice), but the waiter was very apologetic and immediately asked the kitchen to replace it. :)The rice was just nice, not too dry and not too wet. A whole chicken leg was baked tgt with the rice, and lots of cheese on top. :) The colour was a nice golden colour and it looked really appetizing. A small flag with the words 'chicken' in chinese was also stuck on top of the baked rice; a really nice touch to it as it made the whole dish really stand out and also can prevent wrong orders. :)Chicken was tender, though I removed the skin as i didnt liked it. When eating, a waitress came over and introduced us their membership card. As it was my fren's bdae month, the card will be cheaper. Although the waitress was abit persistent in asking us to sign up for the card (my fren eventually did sign up), she was polite and also explained to us patiently when we asked alot of questions regarding the card.
