I can't remember when is the last time I had chicken rice because I tend to opt for white rice due to the high saturated oil present in the oily chicken rice. However, I decided to just try this stall's chicken rice. The rice is really very fragrant having absorbed the chicken stock and it is not too salty and oily either, which is a plus point for me. As for the chicken, it is quite bland on its own, but with some chilli and black sweet sauce, it is awesome.

Hainanese Chicken Rice can be considered a popular local dish for most Singaporeans. Like the typical Singaporeans, it's also one of my favourite. The Hainanese Chicken rice of this stall is nice as I saw the owner added a special sauce which made the rice taste extra delicious. The chicken is tender and they added tomato and cucumbers to make the dish more healthy. The soup is quite blend though.
