This is my second visit to Swatow restaurant, and I reckon the food that we ordered this time are not as good as our previous visit.Teochew Shark's fin ($38) is served in a hot stone bowl. Seeing the amount of shark's fin we get, it's definitely worth the price. Oyster omelets ($12) is a little bit burned, and not crispy at all. Given my friends' recommendations on eating ala carte, I tried on their fried pig trotters which was one of my friend's favourite dish here. The meat was really tender but...somehow, it just didn't click with me. The meat is a little too wet to my liking and the skin was not that crispy. Without the plum sauce, I would have struggled to finish the pork trotters.

Went with my extended family to the restaurant for reunion dinner. Despite the crowd, service was good and food is well-cooked. The food portion is really big, though it was a set dinner for 10pax, i think it could be enough for 12pax! The yusheng is not bad, though the vegetables aren't very finely cut. My favourite dish was the dessert - Yam Paste, it is a must try if you ever visit the restaurant! Overall the dining experience is good, i will definitely patronise the restaurant again!

My first impression of Swa Tow: A typical Chinese restaurants which serves good food but doesn't provide good service, a place where retirees like to visit for Yum Cha.I am only half correct. This restaurant is located at Toa PayohBlk 181, Lorong 4 Toa Payoh, #02-602. It is near toa payoh library if u cant find your way. This is the very first time I been to Swatow Seafood Restaurant. Didn't know what to expect, we just ordered a few signature dishes recommended on the menu. Golden Sand Prawn ($22) 金沙虾 is a must try! Went there to have a try after having a look at the spread on the tv programme. I must say that whatever that is shown on tv will not always appear in the buffet. Talk about double standards. A distinct dish at Swatow, I was expecting alot from the fried durian prawn roll but sad to say, it is just edible, nothing that special. Presentation wise, it's good.

I woke up feeling very hungry on a late Sunday morning and decided to hit on this Dim Sum Buffet recommended on television. We didn't make any reservation and went there in shock.The queue was madness! If you intend to visit, please make a reservation first else you will have to wait for a good time! The hi tea Dim Sum buffet start from 3pm - 6pm and the queue was already form at 2pm. Even if you made a reservation, you still need to queue to get in but of course the waiting time is shorter. Aft
