麥士維熟食中心位處牛車水邊陲，離地鐵站有點遠，但也不難找的。它是由菜市場改建而成，地方很大，樓底高，十分通爽，至今己有20多年歷史了。而由於近牛車水，所以食物較多偏向中國色彩。雖然如此，卻很受當地人歡迎！炎記，是我們所試的其中一家麵線店。招牌乾撈麵線，跟在檔口打出來的照片有段距離，乾撈麵線不是很大碗，加了一些沒甚味道的肉碎、江魚仔（脆魚乾），再淋上醬油，另奉送一碗清湯、4粒魚圓（魚蛋），整體味道其實一般般而已。
