I bought snacks at Old Chang Kee to eat on my way to Pasir Ris Park. I bought 2 kinds of snack.Fish Fillet on Stik - $1.60. I love their fish fillet. The flesh was soft and not fishy. Moreover, it was served hot, so the outer part was still crispy.Cheezy Chicken Sausage on Stik - $1.50. 4 pieces of mini chicken sausage on stick. There's melted cheese inside the sausage. I wish to have some Nuggets in any type of flavor, so I go to this stall which I know that normally you can find it. I choose the fried fish Nugget, it mainly made with fish meat and I believe that they are using the bread flour. It is very crispy and the taste is good. This evening after working late, I feel hungry which I had early meal. I like to get some snacks to fill my stomach. I like to have some dumpling that I discovered this stall selling fried dumpling which mainly made with Chinese chive, Chinese kudzu and a lot of gingers, it is not very oily. It tastes good. If you happen to pass by any outlets of old Chang kee, do check it out their Sotong ring sticks. These sotongs are freshly prepared daily before are coated with a thick layer of starch before bring to deep fry. The texture of it is really chewy and the Sotong meat is very juicy and not too tough. Ver y nice to dip into their not too spicy sambal chilli sauce, which actually is with abit of sweetness to it as well. Nowadays, I usually avoid taking fried food. As today I discovered this new product which mainly made with Yam & was not oily at all, I am very sure they baked the food, and not use the traditional way to oil fry it, but it taste very good. I have always loved Old Chang Kee. Especially there curry puff. the filling is very generous, and you can actually chew on the flavourful chicken in thick curry gravy and potato and egg. i particularly love the crust! Early in the morning, i decided to buy my breakfast before i go to work. The stall people at Old Chang Kee recommended Dry Laska. So i bought one packet and try. Dry Laska only available during Monday, Wednesday & Friday only. After i reach office, i have my first taste of dry laska and i love it. Almost finished the whole noodles.
