It was slightly after lunch when i was there wanting to get a bowl of beancurd to complete my lunch. I was informed that the beancurd has already sold out. I was given the option of grass jelly. The Uncle shown me their version of grass jelly. It was not presented in the cubes but finely shredded in the worm-shaped. A bowl of such is priced at 0.70 cents. I decided to have it along with a small glass of cold soya bean drink for 0.60 cents.I took a mouthful of the grass jelly. It tasted rather refreshing with just the right level of sweetness. The too finely shredded grass jelly was smooth. Too smooth indeed. It has absolutely no chewiness to talk about and i do not quite appreciate such a texture. The best way to enjoy it might be have it added to the soya bean drink. And, i would have try it if i have thought of it then. The soya bean drink has got a minimum level of sweetness with an intense taste of the soya bean. It was served in those glasses usually use for coffee with little ice cubes added to keep it chilled. I would enjoy it more if it is slightly sweeter. It is not a bad choice if you are looking to end your meal with something sweet.
