I have been a quiet fan of Al Forno's for about 20 years already (seriously, I'm that old). I remember my fondest dates here with my then-boyfriend-now-hubby and the food is STILL as good!Focaccia Blanca - we wanted a starter and its nice. Think it as a pizza base without the sauce and ingredients. It's fragrant and goes well with soup. It's also a hit with the kids.Calamari - the squid rings are nicely battered and fried but I would have liked them seasoned more. Though the rings are tender and crispy, its a little bland for me.Pizza Alforno - our first time ordering pizza. I love how moist the pizza tasted with the feta cheese and spinach toppings!Pizza Con Carne - essentially a meaty pizza with ham slices and salami slices. Hub likes it enough.Spaghetti Cartoccio - my all-time fav baked spaghetti with seafood. They serve it in a tin foil that you cut open to reveal its goodness. The seafood is fresh and generous in amount and the spaghetti cooked till al dente even when baked.Al Forno remains my favourite Italian restaurant of homage. 繼續閱讀

Heard about this authentic Italian restaurant and headed down to try. Restaurant wasn't crowded when we reached, could smell the fragrant pizzas from outside the place. Was served with some bread after we ordered, the bread was very soft and goes very well with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The Prosciutto & Mozzarella di Bufala (parma ham and buffalo cheese) tastes great, the cheese doesn't have the very strong dairy taste, and the parma ham was fresh and delicious. We also had the Prosciutto e Funghi pizza, it was wood fired and the crust was very crispy. I like the mushrooms on the pizza, could taste the juice even though it was wood fired. Great food! 繼續閱讀

This place has got bits of traditional italian restaurant feel , service is excellent as always. We ordered Bruschetta, Fried Squid Ring, Lobster Fettucini, Crayfish spaghetti and slipper lobster spaghetti.Gotta love the bruschetta crispy bread topped like fresh made tomato salsa. All their spaghetti is cooked al dente and seafood are really fresh! Gives a nice fleshy crunch on each bite.However I’m not liking the squid as it's too rubbery.As I live in the siglap area, I would definitely return again! 繼續閱讀

Here’s a classic Italian family restaurant that’s been around for years! This is a casual dining restaurant, so don’t expect candles and romance, just good and hearty Italian pizzas and pastas. I tried the Pizza Con Carne and found it light with its thin crust even though it was a rather meaty pizza with the ham, minced beef, salami and sausage. Thumbs up! The Spaghetti Cartoccio was nice though I found the portion smaller than expected for a dish for two. 繼續閱讀

This is a very authentic Italian restaurant, whether its the food or the decor, it gives you a very homely feeling. My partner and I ordered a Vongole to share. The portion was huge, definitely sufficient for 4 instead of 2. It was very good as the taste of wine was not over-whelming. The clams were very fresh too. I had a crab meat pasta. Love the fact that they were not stingy with their portions. Lots of crab meat but as usual, the portion was too big for me alone. Thumbs up! My partner ordered the carbonara. It was very good too. They have a good selection of pizzas as well. I will definitely go back another time to try that out. 繼續閱讀
