Nice black forest cake. But nothing outstanding or special at all. Much prefer even the likes of Polar. But this is a family type cake, unlike at the St Laurent shop where the black forest cake is very alcoholic. Wish there was more strawberries on top. The cream wasn't that nice though. The decoration could have been better. Otherwise good as a family cake. Bengawan Solo prices are rather high - their kuehs cost more than what other people are charging. Nothing special about the kuehs either.

She likes mango a lot so i decided to buy this mango cake. This mango cake has really geneous portion of mangoes, giving the cake a super duper mangoey taste, awesomeness! Each bite is overflowing with goodness of mangoes! YUMMY!

bought this cake from Bengawan Solo to celebrate my friend's birthday. It has become a tradition among us to buy Bengawan Solo's cake to celebrate birthdays. Bengawan Solo's cake is always nice, soft and spongy chocolate cake base which is rich in chocolaty flavor, whipped cream not too sweet which is okay to my liking, nice decoration and the strawberries are fresh and sweet. We played the cream with the birthday queen on her face. It was such a memorable birthday celebration.

My mom bought 7 pieces of the 9 layers kueh. I really like the ones from Bengawan Solo, they are vibrant in color and appealing.I enjoy peeling the kueh layer by layer and enjoy them slowly. The 9 layers kueh is so yummy, it melts in your mouth. They are not too sweet either yet rich in flavor.

I bought the pandan cake. It is a green coloured sponge cake, covered by a layer of green jelly. The cake is tasty, not too sweet, and the green jelly makes the whole cake more fun to savour, and also provides the much needed moisture for this cake. The sponge part of this cake is very fluffy and light. In fact, a person can finish this whole cake by himself and he would not feel too full.
