It was my dad's birthday and just nice Bengawan Solo was right in front of me so i decided to take a look. What caught my eye immediately was the coffee cake so i got one ( regular size $22.80 ). Personally i like it. Thick fragrant cream with nice coffee taste, the sponge cake texture can be softer. Overall a decent cake! Even my dad liked it too =)

I have always liked the thousand layer colourful kueh from Bengawan Solo from the time I was a kid; Bengawan Solo has one of the best kuehs. I walked past and got myself a slice of it. The kueh was very soft and smooth, and you could peel off the different layers one by one, which tastes much better than biting it as a whole. It is also not too sweet. All in all a very enjoyable snack.

After our shopping, we are slightly hungry and we decided to proceed to the stalls at the basement to grab a bite. We bought a box of six ondeh ondehs. I only remembered to take a photo of it after my mum and I each had one, hence there is only four in the photo. It is really tiny but full of flavour! Had the chocolate hazelnut cake from bengawang solo. The sponge was chocolate flavored with layers of cream sandwiched between. The sponge was light and fluffy, being quite fresh, while the cream was smooth. The whole cake was covered in a sort of chocolate frosting/coating, which was rich and absolutely decadent. There were also fresh berries on top of the cake which provided a nice burst of flavor!

Not only their different types of signature nyoya kuehs that impress me, their different types of whole cakes are equally delicious as well. Personally, I like to eat their coffee cake. The sponge cake is filled with the strong coffee flavour and also the light butter flavour in it at well. Butter coffee cream is also used in it which make this cake more flavourable and creamy. The walnuts topped on it are also very crunchy and fresh too.

Decided to snack on a kueh after walking around in Nex which is a super big shopping mall! Hence, headed to Bengawan Solo, where they specialise in a huge variety of nonya kuehs which are hardly available in many bakeries. I chose this tapioca kueh with thick white tapioca layer on the bottom and orange tapioca bits on top.The tapioca bits on top is slightly crunchy, and the bottom layer is dense and chewy. The tapioca flavour is just nice, not too overwhelming strong until you feel queasy. Yumm

Bengawan Solo serves lots of kuehs as well as cakes. Apart from what you can see at the counter display, do check with the staffs if there have anything else in the fridge. It is because due to space constraint, they don't usually put all the cakes out. We bought this birthday cake for a mate. The chocolate cake is fluffy yet slightly dry. However, I'm loving the rich chocolate layer on the very top. Sinfully good, and helps in moisturizing the overall texture a bit.

Celebrated my friend's birthday with bengawan solo's cake!Bengawan Solo's cakes are not only affordable, the taste is definitely not compromised as a result. This fruit cake has really geneous portion of fruits slices, giving the cake a super duper fruity taste, awesomeness! Each bite is overflowing with goodness of fruit and cream! YUMMY!

I have always enjoyed the kuehs and cakes from nonya styled franchise Bengawang Solo, and this round there was no exception! i got some kueh kueh for tea time; and i got the corn kueh which was made of sweet corn and coconut, the thousand layered kueh and the last one which was a half half mix of coconut jelly and plain jelly. All of them tasted great and i will definitely continue patronising Bengawang solo in the future to try out the other kuehs!

Bought a cake for my dad as it was his birthday. Usually our birthday cakes were bought from bengawan solo, so this time we didn't really know what cake to buy. In the end, we bought the coffee cake. It taste actually quite good, with all the crunchy crunchy nuts. The cake was moist and soft. Cream was not too sweet. You can taste the coffee taste. Not bad!

bengawan solo still makes the best kuehs. this kueh lapis was perfect and totally authentic. the flavours of each colour is distinct and very traditional and perfect. it's as if grandma made it! totally authentic. it's not cheap but it save syou making it yourself, which would take hours and too much effort. wish they had multi mixed packs! love the kuehs here! i like their baked kueh lapis too but they cut it into such small pieces, it becomes so expensive and you can't taste much! i prefer the

Soft and creamy. Fruity yet not too sweet. A traditional taste that will never go out of date. Their fruit cake didn’t change much in taste and it is indeed tasty. It’s so tasty i can finish one third at a go. Price is reasonable and value for money if you consider the quality. Highly recommended!

Love eating kueh lapis as I like how I can feel the layering while consuming it;DAs it was expensive, I hardly get to eat it. The kueh lapis here costs around $8, and we bought it using their vouchers.It was hygienic as they additionally used the cling wrap around the kueh to maintain its freshness.It was nice but not as nice as I expect it to be. bought this cake from Bengawan Solo to celebrate my friend's birthday. It has become a tradition among us to buy Bengawan Solo's cake to celebrate birthdays. This shop always sells good quality cakes, although the choices were quite limited. I was totally in love with the fresh fruits on top of the cake which is coated with a layer of jelly. The cake base was soft and the cream was not too sweet. Suitable for children and adults.
