Beschle Chocolatier (已結業)

Was eyeing on this Sacher Cake among the Swiss chocolates at this chocolate kiosk as they were having a 20% promotion on it. I was explained by the counter staff of the content in the cake etc and decided to try it out. It was really good, the chocolate covering was thick and slightly bitter in taste and the cake had a layer of chocolate mousse along with a layer of raspberry puree filling that complimented well and made it not too sweet. Very satisfying if having a sugar rush. A piece at $9.80.

Of the chocolatiers on Orchard Road, Beschle is one of my less loved ones. Actually, Beschle is not even famous in Europe although it is a Swiss brand.Regarding taste and quality I must say that I do like the taste and the fact that even milk chocolates are not overly sweet is a big plus too. What is putting me off the most however, is that Beschle uses flavours and colourings. Hence, the nice taste and appearance does not come naturaly after all.Tastewise 7/10 but health concerns remain...A not
