I know that Bushells isn't exactly the poster-child for the desserts scene in Singapore. Located at the corner (and perhaps away from the chaotic and noisy nightlife) of Clarke Quay, it's pretty much a sweet place to sit back with friends. Bushells is furnished with lots of stone and wood, giving off a very Mediterranean feel more than its Australian influences evident in its menu. The service is good and the prices are steep (mains are about $30-40 per plate), but I'm sure its worth it. This cheesecake speaks volumes.
I doubt reservations are required though, it was pretty quiet even at around 8ish on a Wednesday evening. The place is also quite big, great for gatherings.
