Located nearby my aunt house, I came here to have my meal everytime I visited my aunt. A bit troublesome was, the foodcourt was situated upstairs.Eating Chicken Rice again, I placed order and it was served within seconds. I seldom take rice but sometimes when I get sick of noodles, I will think of Chicken Rice. I was not in the mood to eat anything special, so I settled for a plate of Roast Chicken Rice to settle my dinner. this stall’s roast chicken rice taste not too bad. The rice has the delicious chicken rice fragrance, it was not too oily and the rice was the right texture, not too hard, not too softy, chewy just the way I like it. The roast chicken meat was very tender and juicy. I like their chilli sauce, it made the chicken meat and rice taste even nicer.

Normally at most chicken rice stall, they not only chicken rice and oyster vegetables, they also sell fried toufu with thai chilli sauce. But this chicken rice stall also sell another kind of fried toufu, it is called the hong kong style toufu ($2.80). instead of adding the thai chilli sauce, they add this garlic like sauce and pork floss with a lot of shredded cucumber. I ordered the chicken rice set meal from the chicken rice stall at yew tee square. The chicken rice set includes a soup, oyster vegetables, chicken and the chicken rice. the chicken rice is really delicious. It is not too oily and it is very fragrant as well. the chicken is so tender, I like the gravy they place the chicken in, goes well with the rice. the oyster vegetable is very crunchy. the oyster sauce was added in the right amount, it was not too salty.

The chicken rice stall at this food court have something really unique. It is called the hong kong style toufu. Firstly, they deep fry the toufu, then they add shredded cucumber and topped it off with oyster garlic sauce and pork floss. The oyster and garlic sauce is pretty unique. The garlic contribute some rawness and spiciness to the sauce. The pork floss added some sweetness to the sauce. As a whole, it was an interesting dish.
