One of my regular stalls for hainanese curry rice and queue is expected during lunch. My usual favourite dishes gotta be the fried pork chop, chap chye (mixed vegetable) and meatballs. This stall is selling different type of claypot dishes and the most popular ones are curry chicken and sesame chicken. One of the most popular stalls in this hawker centre, the waiting time can be quite intense in the morning and during lunch hours. Nicely braised pork's trotter came in a big piece, a rather generous serving. But, not very soft, though it would be nicer if this was a little softer but still nice and firm. The chili is the usual chicken rice chilli like most of the chicken rice stalls. Rice texture is pretty alright but no particular fragrance. Chicken tasted juicy and nice. Overall is rather acceptable for such a price. And if you do not want chicken rice, they do sell char siew and roasted meat too. Not outstanding but pretty alright. G

Nice and smooth kway in savory stewing sauce with more than generous serving of small intestine, large intestine, braised meat, tau pok, fishcake and a whole braised egg for only $3.60. Nice soya bean selling at $1.00 for such a big packet. One of my regular stalls to get my soya bean drink. The sweetness is well balanced and soya bean taste is just right. There is always a constant queue right in front of this stall. They are selling the Lor Mee in 3 different sizes at $2.50, $3.00 and $3.50. They are using the different color of bowl for different prices. I always go for the $3.00 bowl and paying $1.00 for extra ingredients. I am very much a noodle person and this is one of the noodle stalls that i really like.This is one of the noodle stalls awarded 3 pairs of chopsticks by Mankansutra. Simple, and old school, just like those Mee Siam selling at your school canteen. It might not have the appearance to draw your attention but it definitely has the taste to surprise you. The portion is a bit too little, so if you are a big eater, you might 2 to 3 plates to fill your tummy. This is the only dish serving from this stall.

The Hokkien Fried Noodles was tasty as they were well fried. The amount of water used was just right, therefore the noodles were neither hard nor soft. The texture of the noodles was smooth, making it easy to chew. The amount of prawns and squid given were generous and we totally enjoyed the meal. It was worth the money and I will come back to this stall for the noodles again. Good.

It's the famous bedok chwee kueh and my favourite too. Have a craving for my favourite and rushed down to get it. It was still the nicest chwee kueh that I ever had and it's too tasty to resist the temptation. I like to eat the chwee kueh with lots of their chai bo on it. It's abit oily at times but they served the chwee kueh on brown paper type and can absorbed some of the oil. Happened to dropby this hawker centre and recommended by my seniors to this porridge stall. Ordered zhu zai porridge and it comes with a whole " you tiao" as the picture tells. Porridge is thick as in cantonese style and tasty. The liver, zhu zai is very fresh. Same for the "you tiao" which is fresh and deep fried at the stall. Must try )

It is night time and this stall sells satay. Happened to be in the area and was looking for some snacks. Satay that will be it and we ordered less than 10 sticks as we do not want to load on the fats. The satay was quite okay but personally I find it a bit dry as the meat did not contain fats at all. So this is one for those who love lean meat. However, I loved satay with fats. As for the satay sauce, it was okay as you can feel and taste the peanuts in your mouth. I will rate it average.

We were on the prowl for some snacks after dinner and decided on satay since we were already at Chong Boon Market. However, we do want to order too much as you know it is very sinful and fattening.
