This is usually one of the place we will come when we have guests. The standards of food has dropped somehow I felt. Ordered a big portion of Xin Chow Bee Hoon to share among 5 of us. Comes with shredded cabbages, the plate of bee hoon was rather tasty but I would rate it average as ingredients were rather plain.Penang Char Kway Teow was comes in a little bit of spiciness and we have to squeeze the lime juice over it. Quick dry and doesnt taste like penang char kway teow.The mushroom and lettuce was rather an eye opener. Instead of giving the usual black mushrooms, what we have is big slices of mushroom served with crunchy and refreshing lettuce together with gluely sauce.The batter of the squid was twice the size of the squid. Salted Egg Yolk taste with the fragrance of curry leaves. It would be more presentable to have the color lightens.Prawns was coated with wasabi and mayonnaise. Becareful of the wasabi when you are eating.Sweet and sour pork was requested by one of the guests as it is their favourite dish in Singapore. Comes with the usual stuff, pineapples, tomatoes, green pepper and onions. My guest love it and almost pop the entire plate of pork balls into his mouth.Disappointed by the chendol. It wasnt like this the last round. Over usuage of gula melaka and coconut milk. There was some soury taste in between with red beans that were not totally cooked. Too sweet for me to handle and I cant finish it.Different taste till maintains its pricing with no 7% of GST Charge. Environment was rather friendly and more like a family restuarant.

This is my second time visiting different taste! They basically sell what a normal tze char stall sells but this place has air-con! Furthermore, they absorb the GST and service charge. Meaning we can get to enjoy affordable tze char food in comfort and ease (unlike typical tze char stall). Talking about their food, my favourite would have to be their prawn paste chicken! The sauce they used to marinate the chicken was awesome!! It made the chicken taste so yummy and fragrant! The chicken was also crispy on the outside and tender on the inside Highly recommended dish!! We also ordered honey pork ribs which was okay only! The sauce was too sour for my liking and I prefer sweeter sauce! We also ordered prawn omelette which was not too bad. Quite tasty and the serving of prawn meat was generous! My friend and I were definitely satisfied about our meal here!! We went on a Wednesday night and no waiting time was required. The place was quite spacious too!! Recommended for large group of people looking for good and affordable tze char food. Can order different dishes to share as their food are in general very tasty!!
