Manpuku Japanese Gourmet Town (已結業)

I like the concept of the restaurant but the food is just average.Ordered the Chicken Noodle but it is no different from instant noodle with slices of chicken.The Fried rice wrapped with egg is worse. Fried rice is tasteless. Thankfully the egg gave the taste of the dish.Overall, it is a bad experience there. First time and will be my last time there.

I visited this place a few times as this is a very good place for cheap casual japanese dining. There's a variety of choices with a no. of stalls there such as tempura ramen, the standard kinds of sushi, fried omelette noodle, gyoza, seaweed fries, and Fruit Paradise!! My standard order would be Tempura Ramen, Gyoza and Seaweed Fries. And if i still have room for some desserts, i wont hestitate to get myself a 'banana chocolate fruit cake' from Fruit Paradise! I wanted to try the okonomiyaki from Botejyu, and so we went to Manpuku again, since this is the nearest Botejyu outlet. We went during dinner time, and the restaurant was unexpectedly empty. We ordered the Pork Okos and a new dish from Botejyu, and seafood omu rice from another stall. The okonomiyaki did not look very appealing, and I was a little disappointed. We walked past this restaurant and saw the very pretty fruit pies. They look so pretty that they look fake, like the food that are meant for display, and the actual food that is served looks so different. We simply had to try the pies. As mango lovers, we ordered the Mango tart and the Mango strawberry tart. After eating past the first layer, it was getting too creamy and losing it attractiveness. It was a little disappointing to me, but it would probably appeal to those who love cream.
