I'm a regular customer of Men-ichi but was trying the potato croquette for the first time recently. The potato croquette is deep fried and the outer layer is very thin and crispy. It is relatively oily so I didn't really like it. The potato insides are just-nicely fried. Its very soft and moist and carries a taste of some kind of sauce that Menichi uses for their eggs. I haven't been to MEN-ICHI Japanese ramen so decided to go in and try as i have a cravings for japanese food also. I ordered Tenshinhan, which is steam rice topped with crab meat and omelette in thick gravy. It was a small portion, and it's only $4.80.It was quite nice.We also tried the ocha at $1. We can add ramen toppings like seaweed, for $1, and $1.50 for corn and char siew.

I was craving for ramen again so I went to Men-ichi! I tried the chicken teriyaki ramen for the first time. It was one of the tonkotsu soup ramen Men-ichi serves. Just FYI (info from Men-ichi's menu), Tonkotsu soup is a cloudy white broth as the result of boiling pork bones over long hours. It is rich in collagen with hearty flavour and creamy consistency. I love cheese so when I saw the Curry Cheese Ramen on the menu I couldn't resist from ordering it. Its chicken noodles in tonkotsu soup and cheese curry. I was pretty surprised to see strands of cheese considering I expected it to only have a hint of the taste of cheese. Fortunately for me, the curry wasn't too thick and its sweet. It goes well with the cheese and the noodles, as usual, were springy. I really liked the Curry Cheese Ramen but I'd recommend people to request for the fried chicken

i went to men-ichi for some ramen. Their ramen is really good. I like their curry cheese ramen. With the curry soup so hot, the cheese completely melts in the ramen, so when you pick the ramen with your chop sticks, it is very cheesy. The curry soup is not hot at all, it is instead very tasty as well.

This is a must-try for pork lovers when dining at Menichi. Its called Buta Kakuni, which is braised pork belly. Its very soft and tender then topped off with a thick sweet sauce. It has a very strong nice...pork smell. It goes very well with rice. The only downside of this dish is it is relatively expensive. They used to give 3 pieces of pork belly for $4.90 but now its 2 for $4.90. Its a must-try but certainly not something to eat frequently for the health-conscious and thrifty.

This side dish is my favourite dish from Menichi. Its called Kanitama, which is a crabmeat and assorted mushroom omelette. It is relatively big and I normally share with another person. The egg looks like its cooked on the outside but actually, on the inside, its soft and moist. Kind of like half-cooked eggs. Its filled with thin slices of crab meat and mushrooms. Menichi offers a variety of dons (rice topped off with something in a bowl) that are very filling for a single person. I decided to try the Soboro Don, which is a spicy minced pork and egg rice bowl. It costs $5.90 and the rice used are those long Japanese rice grains. The minced pork was not dry and neither was it too spicy. I'm not a big fan of pork so I didn't care much for the pork. I'm a big fan of gyozas and will always try it if a restaurant offers it. Menichi sells 5 homemade gyozas at a low cost of $4.80! The gyozas are filled with chicken and spring onions (..I think?). The gyozas are very juicy but the vegetables had a very strong smell that overpowered the chicken taste. I've eaten the gyozas at Menichi and they have been very consistent until recently. However, its still acceptable so do try it if you're dining at Menichi!

This is an exclusive dish which is not on Menichi's menu. You can only try it by redeeming it for free after having collected a number of reward stamps (spend over $20 for each stamp) at Wadori, Ichiban Sushi, or Menichi itself. I visit Menichi regularly and I just love their side dishes but I decided to give their ramen a try. I tried their Wafu Chicken Katsu Ramen and was really pleased with the fact that the restaurant were very thoughtful. went to men-ichi at jp for dinner yesterday. the restaurant was super tiny and cosy but the service was awesome. they have this preserved vege on the table that is complimentary. i noticed the next table constantly finishing up their vege and the waitress was so patiently refilling for them and was very polite too.we ordered curry cheese ramen set meal. it came with a side dish and a drink. since we ordered 2 sets, we got 2 drinks and 2 sides. we chose their fried dumpling and an omelet.the dump
