Good:- Wide range of sushi to choose from. (from the normal maki to the unique mango sushi)- The quality of sushi in sushi tei is very high. Delicious and fresher as compared to those budget ones like sushi express.- The soft-shell crab handroll also tastes great with the crunchy soft-shell crab wrapped in soft beaded rice and crispy seaweed.- Nice ambience at this 2-storey building. Like a village. Great for romantic couples, as well as family or friends gatherings.- Great staff service.Not-so-good:- Sushi tei is always popular, hence the long queue to get a seat (unless you go really early to avoid to peak meal timings)- Away from the MRT station. Parkings are plentiful at Serangoon Gardens though.Overall:Will definitely return again and again for the sushi. Will also recommend to friends. 繼續閱讀

Sushi Tei is one of the japanese food chains that has better than average sushi. I was looking for a healthy meal the other day and decided to get their sushi. My favourite among the 8 sushi was the tako (octopus) sushi - the slice of octopus was fresh and chewy, and a rather thick slice. I didn't quite like their eel sushi as it was a little salty. The scallop sushi was alright, and the rest of the sushi were common but not bad. 繼續閱讀

I was never keen on salads, having had the impression that they were rather tasteless. But Sushi Tei serves up quite a mean rendition of one. The smoked salmon (or was it sashimi) was fresh, and Sushi Tei was rather generous with the servings. The leafy vegetables were also fresh and crunchy, with the vegetable juices flowing out with every bite. The sauce was a tad too overwhelming and strong though. 繼續閱讀

My favourite go-to place for Japanese food. The food is always consistently fresh and good. Try the Sashimi Salad with the special Sushi Tei sauce, which is tangy sweet and oh so refreshing to eat with the cold salad. Those wanting their sashimi fix will not be left for want as the Sashimi pieces that are given can be substantial. During this visit, I decided to try something new: the Mushoom Miso so. Since I love mushrooms and I love miso, the combination must be awesome, right? Hmmm...when I tried it, well let's just say it wasn't what I was expecting. The mouth feel of the soup was a little slimy, which is due to the type of mushrooms used. I suppose it's probably because as Singaporeans. We're not used to such a texture. However, I'll give it a miss the next time I go back. The japanese curry rice or udon is a must as it's tasty and chockful of chicken, carrots, potatoes and onions. Very yummy. 繼續閱讀

Sushi Tei generally serves good, fresh japanese food and this outlet is no exception.I had their mini dragon roll ($8) which did not disappoint. It's sushi with pieces of fried king prawn layered with rice and slices of avocado on top. Sushi here is really fresh and tasty!I also ordered an item from their Spring promotional menu: Asari & Hotate Garlic Shoyu Pasta ($14). I wasn't sure how the pasta would turn out since Sushi Tei rarely serves pasta but I was very pleased with the dish. The spaghetti was not overcooked and was still firm. The shoyu pasta sauce was not overly salty, but had the right balance of saltiness, even with a tinge of sweetness from the seafood. The portions of clams and scallops were generous and were very fresh. I quite liked this pasta main dish! 繼續閱讀
