The Swensens buffet located at Ion is a great place to indulge and satisfy your craving for ice-cream. At this all-you-can-eat-ice cream & dessert buffet, you can enjoy this for only $18.90 per pax. There is a variety of food, mainly western, and recently they have added an asian menu to it.

Their ambience is very classy and welcoming. The dish that I tried and thought was very different from the other places is the Lamb Chop. Compared to other places, the lamb had very little fat, which makes it even nicer to eat. The lamb chop came together with wedges and mint sauce with a tinge of lemon. The sauce was really good. It cost $14.90. I would say it is rather overpriced, but it was worth it has it was really filling.

The location of this outlet is hard to find. Unlike other dining establishments, it's not within Ion Orchard itself, but closer to the MRT.The buffet costs $18.90; top up $12.90 with any main course orders.I ordered the Ocean Crunch Salad. Drizzle the pineapple BBQ sauce over the fried fish, shrimps and calamari on a bed of crisp greens and you get a perfect bowl of salad with crunch. I ordered the Ocean Crunch Salad. Drizzle the pineapple BBQ sauce over the fried fish, shrimps and calamari on a bed of crisp greens and you get a perfect bowl of salad with crunch. I wish the portions were bigger.

For the buffet, the cold treats offered are ice-cream and gelato. Both types are creamy, with various flavours to sweeten and zest up your palate. Be dazzled by the array of toppings available to spruce up your ice-cream creation! Love the chocolate bars, maltese, nuts...

Moving on, there's a Chop Shop where you can create your own mashed ice-cream. Well, you're not really the one doing the chopping, but you can choose your toppings and ice-cream flavour to create your unique blend. There's also waffles, mini pancakes, cakes and a chocolate fondue for dipping sticks of marshmallow, strawberries and profiteroles!

A little reminder: If you can't eat much, don't order the main course and ice-cream buffet. You'll be too full after the main course to try as many ice-cream delights as possible. Thus I would recommend this place for high tea as the preferred meal.

Overall, it's a pleasant experience to get brain-freezed and try out different ice-cream combinations and creations. Though the prices could be fine-tuned a little to make it more affordable.

ice cream buffet for u?

I brought my family to swensen at ion for ice cream buffet. They indeed had a wide spread of different ice creams and toppings. I love their chocolate ice cream, it is so ever creamy and very rich in chocolaty taste. The strawberry ice cream is my next favorite!I love to have cereals and waffles to go together with my ice cream. The smoothness of the ice cream together with the crunchiness of the cereals is indeed a contrast of texture. Really delicious!

u can mix and match all kinds of topping with your flavour and try out to see which combination suits u the best! their ice creams are rich and creamy, one mouth and u will keep wanting for more!!! i love to drizzle chocolate fudge on top of my ice cream and eat them together with corn flakes. it is a match make in heaven!

an ideal place to have a group outing on the hot afternoon.

I have always thought that Swensen is famous for its ice cream so when the first ice-cream buffet outlet was opened at ION, Orchard, I was rather tempted to try so my bf and I went down one day and joined the dinner queue.I must really say that there is a wide range of desserts available, from fondue to waffles, from cakes to crepes. And the free flow of ice-cream simply made me feel fat. I think desserts or ice cream is something which I can enjoy in small amounts but would start to get tired a

I think desserts or ice cream is something which I can enjoy in small amounts but would start to get tired and even sick when I constantly eat the same thing. Thus, I would stick to eating my favourite dessert/ie-cream in just one or at most two servings.
