Went to Manhattan Fish market for a group gathering. Sometimes I will have sudden craving for fish and seafood and so i need 'em a lot to ease my craving. Thus I ordered this seafood platter for one person and finish this all by myself coz that time i was starving too! A big iron plate with big tiger prawns, sambal sauteed calamari, fish fillet, fries, garden veggies and butter rice which is obviously very filling. The seafood and veggies were fresh, butter rice was fragrant and rice was not too hard not too soft. I like the spiciness of the calamari which added some Asian flavour to the dish.

My friend recommended me to this newly opened restaurant at Causeway Point. The restaurant is quite packed & the queue is quite long during a weekday.We ordered the signature fish & chips set for each which it comes with a bowl of "soup of the day"(mushroom soup) & a glass of soft drinks (ice lemon tea).Wow~ it looks so yummy when it is being served. Follow by the main dish.. fish & chips. The fish is so hard when bite as if it is not well cooked. After one bite on the first piece, I give up & try another piece.. same it's hard so give up again, so try the last piece..

cannot make it so end up give up all. But I finished up the fries as it tasted so much better than the fish

We brought this up to the waiter but he explained that the fish is probably not fully thaw before frying so it is hard. We were still charged full with the 10% service charge & 7% GST. We were given a $1 voucher but there is only 1 voucher so my friend threw it away since she told me she will never return to the restaurant again. As for me, maybe after a longer time I'll try another outlet but will not order the same dish again.

The concept is something alike to fish & co. But manhattan fish market has this deep fried mushrooms served with unique sauce that has a tinge of lime taste which whet your appetite. I love the mushrooms to the max!! Although deep fried, the juicy mushrooms burst into your mouth when you take the first bite! Moreover, it is served HOT instead of warm! That is the thing i love most! (:

Soup of the day was cream of mushroom and i love how the soup is not that watery and you can practically bite into bits of mushrooms instead of just having the mushroom taste. I am not a fan of mushrooms, but this restaurant serves great mushrooms!

I had fish and chip for my main and i must admit that the fish doesnt taste very fresh and i feel gelate after my first piece of fish and chips, together with the generous fries.

Service was prompt and efficient. We were seated down quickly and didnt have to wait very long for our food.

Not a bad place to hang out afterall if you are on a tight budget. Oh ya! and remember to order the deep fried mushrooms to try! (;
