My friend recommended me to this newly opened restaurant at Causeway Point. The restaurant is quite packed & the queue is quite long during a weekday.

We ordered the signature fish & chips set for each which it comes with a bowl of "soup of the day"(mushroom soup) & a glass of soft drinks (ice lemon tea).

Wow~ it looks so yummy when it is being served. Firstly, I tried the mushroom soup.. It is thick & creamy, it tasted so good Follow by the main dish.. fish & chips. The fish is so hard when bite as if it is not well cooked. After one bite on the first piece, I give up & try another piece.. same it's hard so give up again, so try the last piece.. cannot make it so end up give up all. But I finished up the fries as it tasted so much better than the fish

We brought this up to the waiter but he explained that the fish is probably not fully thaw before frying so it is hard. We were still charged full with the 10% service charge & 7% GST. We were given a $1 voucher but there is only 1 voucher so my friend threw it away since she told me she will never return to the restaurant again. As for me, maybe after a longer time I'll try another outlet but will not order the same dish again.

My husband recommended me to this stall as it used to be one of the best popiah stall in Toa Payoh. The stall was run by an old man in the past but later I guess he has passed on to his children, as the old man is no longer seen at the stall.

I think the popiah is not as fantastic as in the past. Although the ingredient is nice but not hot enough, moreover the popiah skin is too thick & dry as it takes a bit of time to chew before swallowing it. As you can see in the picture, the filling is too little & popiah is poorly wrapped. I don't mind paying slightly more if the filling is hot & wrapped fully.

There is always a long queue at this stall but I would eat there only before the lunch crowd start to join in the queue during weekdays. I've eaten many times & I find it very delicious so I decided to write a short review here.

The beef noodle with the thick dark sauce & the soup are really fantastic~!!! The old uncle who serves me is always friendly & polite.
