TWG Tea on the Bridge (已結業)

Not only does this restaurant serves a huge variety of good quality tea, it also serves delicious main course and desserts. Tried the silver moon tea which is green tea based. Personally, I love the fragrance and taste of this flavoured tea. However, I find that the price of the tea is kinda steep as it costs $11 per pot (cannot refill as there is no tea leaf in the pot). Ordered the wagyu burger which I will highly recommend one to try. Though I am not a beef lover, I think this wagyu beef taste really good, to the extent that I don't mind having another patty! I got three different flavours of maracons and got two of each flavour. The brown ones are the Napoleon tea and Caramel, the pink ones are the Bain de Roses Tea and the yellow ones are the Lemon Bush Tea. The macaron shells were quite soft unlike those others which I have tasted before, where the shells are sturdy. As what I have guessed, the shells broke immediately upon light pressure and it was too soft for my liking since there is no contrast between the shell and the interior filling. Of the lot, I enjoyed the Lemon Bush Tea the most since the tea fragrance is the strongest and it was less sweet than the other two flavours. Of all the macarons I have tried so far, I reckon TWG's macarons are my top favourite. I love the fact that these macarons are infused with tea flavour! The combination of tea and fruits/chocolate is done so beautifully! This time round I bought another 6 macarons ($2/each), namely:Napoleon tea & CaramelCamelot tea & PralineEarl grey fortune & ChocolateBain de Rose teaLemon Bush teaGrand wedding tea, Passion fruit & CoconutVery nice!! I love walking into this shop. It just makes you feel so happy! The decor is great, the service is excellent and unpretencious and very genuine. They trained their people very very exceptionally well! We always buy our tea here. This Tea Party Tea is a new tea and it costs $144 for 4 boxes (some promotion thing). It's good as gifts obviously for this X'mas period. Was going to get their rose macaron but they ran out! I like their rose macaron! There are hundreds of teas and blends here to choose from. i simply cannot get enough of twg macaroons and tea. their tea is so ever delicious. smooth and warm, not bitter after taste. their macaroons are total killers. really delicious. the shell is crispy yet chewy, the filling is not too sweet. very smooth. when you eat them both together, you can simply taste the contrast! I was attracted by their posh outlook of the shop and their macarons. Each cost $2. Starting from the right is Camelot Tea & Praline, Earl Grey & Chocolate, 1837 Black Tea and Blackcurrant, Napoleon Tea & Caramel, Lemon Bush Tea and lastly Bain de Rose Tea. The macaron was chewy but not very crisp and quite sweet too for my standard. I expect it to be harder but this was too fragile. My favourite goes to the Earl Grey & Chocolate macaron. Not as sweet as the rest and the flavor is wonderful. I was a little disappointed with Camelot Tea & Praline as the combiation was pretty weird. Not to my liking.
