Just bought home a packet of this economical kway teow back home to eat for dinner. For merely $1.50 per pack, is really value for money. Portion is veey generous and the kway teow is very chewy and delicious. Not too oily and salty, and lots of crunchy fresh beansprouts are added in it as well. The aunty here is very friendly and service is fast too. Stall is clean and neat.

Have bought back a packet of this economical fried kway teow back home for dinner after work. Took almost ten minutes to queue for the food. The malay staffs are quite friendly and helpful. For a packet of fried kway teow with two vegetable dishes of my choice at only $2.70 per packet. The kway teow is not too oily and really smooth in texture. The vegetable is very crunchy and fresh. Like the fried lady fingers which are still crunchy and really fragrant. Sambal chilli sauce here is also quite appetizing too.

Review on Chicken Rice @ U Taste Restaurant TampinesYou don't have to starve yourself when you're broke. This eatery will bring happy tears to your eyes!ServiceThis is a self-service eatery. So, it's best to chope a place to sit first because it might get packed during peak hours. There are quite a variety to choose from but I will be talking about the chicken rice stall. There are 3 to choose from: Steam, roasted & cutlet.*Do say out your order loud and clear. If not, you will get your order wrong - especially if you're buying bulk order during peak period. The uncle is okay and is pretty fast in serving. You can also add some additional items such as fried fishball/otah/hotdog/etc. to your meal.Suggested daysI guess any day is okay. Its just that you need to know which timing to avoid. Since it's in the heartland area, students/working adults/families will be patronizing this eatery as it is cheap and filling. Its best to just tapao (take-away).Prices $$1 plate of chicken rice is $2.For the chicken cutlet, you can choose either lemon or mayonaisse sauce or neither (your choice)Others are reasonable as well. Can get a meal under $4. (including drinks)RatingI would give this 3.2/5. The cons about this place is that during peak hour, the cleaners won't be able to clean most of the table and if you did not chope a seat, you might be reluctant to sit at the dirty table. (Unless you're a hero/heroine and clear the table yourself)Other varietiesFried Bee Hoon noodlesFried RiceVegetablesFried items

Chicken rice is one of Singaporean's favourite dish and it is no exception to me. The chicken was well roasted, tender and moist. It combines well with the sesame oil that was drizzled onto it. The chicken rice was very fragrant and the rice grains were well-defined and not sticky. The chicken kidney was crunchy and gave a very nice bite.
