This is the hokkien style Lor Mee and one of the few stalls that added in the shredded fish meat just like the other famous Lor Mee at Old Kallang Airport Road Food Centre.

Other than the shredded fish meat, you will get ingredients like ngor hiang and braised meat to go along. I always go for the $3.00 portion and pay an additional $1.00 for extra ingredients to be added. The best way to eat this bowl of Lor Mee is to eat it with red cut chillies. And, do take note this particular stall does not have the chilli paste for Lor Mee. Their Lor (sauce) is so good by itself to totally leave out the chilli paste.

I always take away for my grandparents and they love eating this too. The Aunties are very nice here, even if you did not ask them to separate the sauce from the noodle, they will do it for you. This is definitely the value added service that we look forward but sadly, not many stalls have such an outstanding service in the food centres and likewise in the restaurants, too.

This is always the stall that i am looking forward to go back. Strongly recommended.

Lor Mee, a local Singaporean dish, is one of my favourite food here in Singapore, especially when I tasted it since I was a young boy in Primary School and it kind of became my one of those food that I would eat when I am around in certain districts. Lor Mee, a local Singaporean dish, is one of my favourite food here in Singapore, especially when I tasted it since I was a young boy in Primary School and it kind of became my one of those food that I would eat when I am around in certain districts. This Yuan Chun Famous Lor Mee, a popular dish, testimonial to its long queue during lunch hours at Amoy Street Food Centre.

The gravy is thick and delicious, nice amount of ingredients inside the bowl of Lor Mee. Whenever I have it, the thick gravy would be finished up by me, leaving not much “evidence” behind Oh yes, do not forget to add sliced chilli, pepper and vinegar to be mixed inside and along with the other delicious belly pork inside !

Do remember to drop by and have a taste of the Amoy Food Centre Famous Lor Mee if you have the chance !
