Was wondering where to go for lunch when my collegues and I decided to head to this coffee shop nearby for some packet food. The stall's flyer caught our eye, stating that it was famous so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Oyster omelette ($5 - smallest) and the Hokkien mee ($4 - smallest) and the wait time for the food was really long. The oyster omelette was not to our liking as the oyster was small and tasted weird - not really fresh. The eggs were too fried and charred although i do like the packaging of banana leaves for the dish ( but not the hokkien mee??)
The Hokkien noodles were too soggy for my liking. My friend like the soupy taste. The prawns were almost fresh - as it is 2 steps below good. looks good yet a little dissapointing as not very succulent. The chili did not mix well enough with the noodles too. I did not understand why the oyster omelette was in banana leaves but not my hokkien noodles.
To sum up, it was a not a fulfilling experience.
