When anyone mention about Ba Kut Teh, everyone will tell you that Balaister have the best BKT in Singapore. No doubt the whole street is filled with coffee shops that serves BKT but my pick would be the one in Marsiling (Woodlands). In this relatively unknown location to many, only those who live in Woodlands would know of. I would much prefer it to be unknown as I'm selfish and don't wish to wait a long queue to get my hands on them when I go over. But well, I'm free today so I decided to share
In this relatively unknown location to many, only those who live in Woodlands would know of. I would much prefer it to be unknown as I'm selfish and don't wish to wait a long queue to get my hands on them when I go over.
But well, I'm free today so I decided to share this with others here today.
First of all, the way they cook the Ba Kut is the tradiational kind and the spice they used taste the same as those I had in when I was young, unlike those newer generation BKT which taste rather different and salty. The soup is great and they even allow us to top up the soup, which is a rare sight nowadays on coffeeshop.
The pork rib taste normal when u eat it just by itself and in order to unleash its full taste, you got to dip it into the dark sauce and chili and eat it. Yums! The tao pok is good too but I also dip it into the dark sauce. haha.
Oh yeah, the preserved vegetable is good too, not very salty.
