Jones the grocer is an Australian origin food emporium aimed at inspiring a love of great food and providing customers with a full gourmet experience. Corn fritters with a poached egg, rocket, roast tomato & avocado salsa ($22++)The pancakes tastes great with lots of corn in it.
Spanish baked eggs 'en cocotte', chorizo, red pepper, tomato relish & spinach ($21++)This dish takes the longest time to be served. Those who like tomato sauce will like this dish. It is too much tomato sauce for me. I like the bits of chorizo in the sauce. Covered with the hot sauce, the raw spinach does not too raw to me. The bread is a bit tough to chew on.
For drinks, we have
Café Latte ($5++) which tastes not bad.
Hot Chocolate with Marshmallow ($5++), which reminds me of what I used to have back in Australia. How much I have missed it.
Mah Jong Fruit Blush Infusion Tea ($6++)The tea has a rather fruity taste. The tea turns quite red in colour after soaking in the tea bag. After finishing the tea, mom has requested for a refill of hot water in the tea pot. But the pot does not make its way back. In the end we ask another staff who make another fresh pot as she could not find the previous pot.
Overall food is rather on the high end for simple breakfast dishes. Service is uneven for a not crowded day. Much to be improved on.
