Tung Lok is known for its chain of restaurants all over Singapore. But what's most do not know is its catering arm, known as Bellygood. Today I am invited to a movie preview which has a catered dinner from Bellygood.The spread of food is huge. The display is quite grand too. There is also staff on the stand by to check on the food. The dessert counter has various flavours of jelly and assorted mini cakes. There is also Cheng Ting available which is full of sweet potatoes, dried longans, white fungus and sago, and tastes very delicious.
There is also spring roll counters, with freshly made spring rolls by the 2 staffs on the spot. I like the crab meat filling in it, creamy and crunchy.
There is also staff moving around serving us drinks, I have peach tea which tastes quite light.
The best dish of the night is the wasabi mayo prawn is very delicious, crispy and juicy with the mayo sauce giving it the extra punch. Next is the potato and egg salad, simple and well made. The siew mai is a bit too oily.Overall it is quite a good catered meal. The service is also quite good with staff keep going around clearing the plates, refilling tissues.
