Was at the singtel building, and as all would know they'd usually have long queues. Thus, while waiting for my number to be shown, I crossed over to the nearby street to try Killiney.Killiney can easily stand out for its' traditional white fluorescent lightings and old wooden stools. The menu is hooked on the wall, and it's quite self-service because you have to go to the counter (which you can see from the first image) to order. Remember to state your seat number as well!
They also provide pictures of what the common orders are, which was pretty useful.
I also like their design of nostalgia, it feels like there's a lot of tradition being handed down even though I don' really know the history behind Killiney's.
I ordered my favourite - half-boiled eggs and a cup of tea. It's really overpriced, the tiny cup costs $1.30 (same as Wang's), but it doesn't taste as good because of it's extremely strong flavor. It's not smooth too.
I hate it when I have to crack the eggs myself, and there's apparently too many self-service going on in the midst of a busy city!
