For Din Tai Fung, it's no surprise that we have to queue for some time, being the reason that its popular among us, diners. I would say, that is definitely worth one's waiting time. The hot and sour soup is very appeasing, not that sour and spicy as I thought. However, one can add more vinegar and chilli to add on to its taste!
Soup noodles with dumplings may seems bland and uninteresting. However, this is not the case. The favors in the dumplings together with the delicious soup goes absolutely well with their hand made noodles.!
Dan Dan Noodle @ $6.80 is good. Though the "Dan Dan" sounds like "bland" food, in fact its not. The sauce that comes along with the hand made noodle has its unique kind of taste and special fragrance. *Thumbs Up*
One of the signature dishes - Steam Pork Dumplings of juicy meat filling wrapped in a melt-in-your-mouth skin with a minimum of 18 exquisite folds in tray of 10 at $10.80 ! Together with some vinegar and ginger, it's mouth-watering. Becareful on the first bite of the dumplings, the boiling hot soup in the dumplings will ooze out. But if you have a chance to visit the original outlet in Taiwan, give it a try.
ServiceAt least for me, I'm rather amazed by how these staff handle customers! It's definitely very organized and speedy. We will first get a queue number from the counter, while waiting, we have to indicate our order on the slip of menu provided with the queue number. The turn over is very fast and workers are quick in getting tables ready for customer. Once we are seated, our food is served within 5 minutes. Noticed that they provide a carrier for you to place your bag, which is very good.
What I like about their XLB is that they "Xian Zhou Xian Mai" (meaning the prepared on the spot when ordered. The kitchen is transparent and everyone can see what the workers are preparing! Looks very skillful. Well-trained.

As the dinning concept is open air, its best no choose some where in the centre of the dinning area.
