Happened to pass by this place while wandering around Jurong Point. The open restaurant concept they have in this mall is very inviting as compared to its other outlets. Decided to order their Pork Ribs Soup as a very light dinner. The soup may be a tad bit oily as seen in the picture but it remained light and tasty without the thirsty after taste. They were also generous with the pork ribs. As for desserts I got myself the Mango Pudding which was a thumbs up! The pure mango flesh was used to enhance the fragrance and the sweetness it gives after combining with the pudding was fantastic! Overall, service was excellent, ambience was great and food were satisfying. Went to this branch for the convenience but not a longer dinner to chat with friends as it is very packed during dinner time. Ding Tai Fung is just so amazing with their food which is of great value. Though the queue during weekends is really long, but if you are okay with sitting outside, the waiting time is about 15 minutes. My family and friends like the food, especially their famous "xiao long bao", where each of us can finish 10 each easily, on top of the other dishes.Apart from that, the waitresses are friendly and helpful. Din Tai Fung's reputation is made known for its delicious delicacies and was award one Michelin star by the Hong Kong and Macau 2010 edition of the Michelin Guide.My visit to Din Tai Fung in Jurong Point was make a breeze especially walking in after their peak hours, also skipping the long queues and avoiding the agony of waiting its numbering system jumps at intervals. Greeted with warm welcome by the staff and directed to our seat. Ginger strips and dinner utensils were promptly placed on the dining table shortly after we had seated. They were seen as a team of efficient and quick workers for turnovers. When asked for a bigger serving of ginger stripes, I was presented with half a bowl of it. Was amazed at how generous Din Tai Fung was. Having visited their main shop in Taiwan , I observed that the organization's serving culture was almost a replica. Service was professional, polite and every staff had a walkie talkie to communicate among themselves which in turns facilitate a smooth and enjoyable dining experience to their customers. Teamwork and bonding were very much seen here.One of the famous appetizer that stands up even on the simplest ingredients. Meat was cooling tender complimented with Chinese wine without overwhelming the taste.Carefully simmered to perfection over a long span of hours, the soup was rich in flavour, filled with sweetness from the meat. Meat from the meat was very tender such that little effort was used to remove the meat from the rib.A Yong Tau Foo alike dish which was new on their menu. Refreshing and simple meal with tasty minced meat wrapped by Tau Ki (Beancurd skin). The dish was light and goes very well with the soft bunch of translucent vermicelli noodles. The taste of the fried rice had left a big impression of Din Tai Fung's branding to me ever since I first tried it. Every pearl grain of rice was fragrant and shreds of egg white and yolk were obvious. The chef had actually whip up such a good tasty and sweet dish with fresh shrimps added. Steamed pork dumplings or XLB (Xiao Long Baos) are the signatures mains of Din Tai Fung that keep folks coming. Consists of juicy meat filling wrapped in the thin and delicate dough skin which was done up with at least 18 exquisite folds and pleated, twisted at the top. Served and steamed in the traditional Dim Sum tray.Dipped each of them into the vinegar and ginger provided, popped into your mouth for an explosion of flavours as you bite them down. It was my birthday and my friends and I came to eat at Din Tai Fung :) Hot & Sour Soup - I was skeptical about this dish at first because of the name. There were tofu slices, beancurd skin, and small bits of pork in this soup (and some other ingredients)... but the winning point of this dish for me was the soup! There was a generous dosage of vinegar and black pepper in it, which is essentially my favourite flavours - and the texture of the soup is so thick! I love it a lot - it is also piping hot when it arrived and leaves a good feeling in the stomach. Definitely recommended. Fried Prawn Dumpling - Not a very helpful picture but I just remember that I wasn't entirely enjoying this much because it was rather spiky where it was fried and it pierced my mouth ;O Not only was it fried, it was extremely hot on the inside! Okay maybe I have bad dining etiquette but in general I don't like fried food but my friends liked it so they had fun gobbling it down. I wouldn't order it myself again. Steamed Pork Dumplings - $10.50 - Well the classic Din Tai Fung dish that I think that has never gone wrong in my umpteen visits to Din Tai Fung and always the first, no-arguments dish to order. I had an outing at Din Tai Fung with a couple of friends. We ordered a couple of dishes to share namely the famous Xiao Long Bao. My friend ordered this "Xiao Cai" for us to share. I normally skip the appetizer sections but she insisted that this pile of vegetables is really good and indeed it was good. To the extent that i even ordered one more plate for myself. there was a mixture of different kinds of vegetables. Pork and shrimp wantons soup noodles (~$10)Soup broth was clear and light even though there was a little bit of the ramen noodles "smell" in it. There was a whole shrimp in every wanton and the skin of the wanton was rather thin yet managed to hold the ingredients in it together. I like how it does not taste "floury". Prices are reasonable. Their xiao long bao is really nice, and the meat taste fresh unlike some others that I tried which is oily and smells unfresh. The open-concept restaurant in Jurong Point's din tai fung is extremely inviting, it also manages both its' takeaway order and dine-in orders pretty well with a call queue number to avoid discontentment!It was a relatively long queue (i had to wait 15 minutes) despite eating at 2pm. We ordered a plate of fried rice ($9), and for $1 each you will be served a free-flow cup of chinese tea. although the fried rice seem rather plain, the rice is extremely flavourful and surely they use good-grade sort of rice.we also ordered beef slices ($6.80) which appeared quite fatty but we can't really taste the fats... it's quite thinly sliced though, and i wish they had more in quantity.Xiao Long bao in din tai fung is seriously the best in Singapore and it costs $9.50 for 10 pieces.. i think its' quite expensive, hopefully they will not raise the price any further. anyway i really love the staff workers there as the kitchen is open for all to see and they really are extremely hygienic, covering their hair and masking themselves up as well (not because of the haze caused by our neighbourly indonesia), but they really do ensure and take pride in producing quality and delicious food!Looks so delicious isn't it! :'DThis is the total cost of what we spent, and i suggest that they should have some sort of english translation as well because there was a caucasian couple after us and they tried their best to use chopsticks during their meal, can you imagine how clueless they would be when they see the receipt? :)…查看更多

Ordered one fried rice with egg, one basket of 10 Xiao long bao and a bowl of vermicelli with pork. Not sure what the latter is but it looked really unique when the food came. The noodles was glass noodles! When it first came, the pork fillings covered the noodles and I thought that there weren't supposed to be noodles but after mixing it, the glass noodles which looked rather transparent were hidden below the fillings. The xiaolongbao was just so-so only as the fillings did not taste as good as the others I had before. As for the fried rice, it will be too much for one person to eat, so I suggest sharing with your friends. We had a good waitress in the area we were sitting!! Dinner with my boyfriend and family.Well, the waiting time is about 20-30 minutes but I would say its worth the wait. But this time probably would be a little regret. The standard seems to drop a little each time when we go. For Din Tai Fung, it's no surprise that we have to queue for some time, being the reason that its popular among us, diners. I would say, that is definitely worth one's waiting time. Aromatic!The hot and sour soup is very appeasing, not that sour and spicy as I thought.
