Bad place to have a meal in a hot day like this! I was sweating buckets upon arriving at the table with my food! I wasn't very hungry during lunch, so snooped around the hawker centre in search for Xiao Long Bao! Found this to be the only stall selling it - 6 for $4. I wasn't very hungry during lunch, so snooped around the hawker centre in search for Xiao Long Bao! Found this to be the only stall selling it - 6 for $4. I ordered 2 sets of this as a side dish for me and my colleagues. After I made my order, the couple who manned the stalls attended to other customers while I was standing there waiting. After a short while, I got impatient and asked how long more before the food was ready. I was told 2 mins, so I walked off to order my main course before returning for the Xiao Long Baos. I was then given 1 set and saw that the guy only started to steam the 2nd set. Obviously, I wasn't happy at his poor coordination! But he offered to send the 2nd set to my table, and that eased off some of my steam!
Lucky for this stall, the Xiao Long Bao was really good! The skin was not too thick, and doesn't break when you lift it off the tray. The broth and marinated pork within were delicious as well, making the wait and sweat worthwhile!
Yes, I will order the Xiao Long Bao again. But next time, I'll recommend to fellow lunch kakis and order through them! Hahaha!
