Next will be on the ambience, it's a nice quiet place with soft music for a nice meal. only problem to improve is the toilet inside the restaurant, not pleasant smelling. I like it that for if we have big grp, there is a closed door vip room big Enuf for probably 15 Or so. Aircon was cold the day I was there But can be adjusted upon request.
On Service, chef n service staffs were from friendly. attentive to us, & check if everything is fine with us. Finally on the most impt part, the Food! We had so much food till I couldn't finish! The list of items of the dishes we have tried: ·
Zensai ($10.80) – Seafood Mayo on Fresh Salad
- I love the taste of fresh prawns, octopus & some other things I can't identify plus seaweed n salad veg mixed together with mayo. It was a little salty but quite refreshing. i could taste the freshness of the seafood! · Dobin Mushi ($10.80) – Teapot Soup
- Big fat oyster in the teapot with bamboo shoot & some other ingredients. Fresh delicious oyster n very sweet soup! · Sashimi: Fukuya Tokusen Platter (7 kinds) ($68.80) – Toro, Botan Ebi, Salmon Belly, Katsuo Tataki, Shima Aji, Tai
- the Star dish n my fav. I love How different it is from the normal kind of sashimi coz these r special cuts! of Cox my fav is Botan Ebi, Toro n there is a Halibut something which is the white one in my photo. all super fresh n melts in your mouth. Just that I think I prefer my soy without truffle. special from the chef. I find truffle over powering the taste of the sashimi. wasabi taste very light, think it's freshly grated. · Yakimono: Gintara Mentaiyaki ($20.80) - very very delicious n soft fish. mentaiyaki is abit thick But delicious! good for sharing · Sushi: Fukuya Aburi Sushi Mori (5 kinds) ($28.80) – Salmon, Anago, Akami, Buri Belly + Unkan Uni & Ikura Topping
- Sushi were seared. I m not a fan of uni.. But I enjoyed the rest. · Menrui ($26.80) – Fukuya Seafood Ramen (Small)
by the time I had all the food, I couldnt finish the ramen. the soup was good n ingredients were so generously added. i m not a fan of the soup base though. taste abit lije pumpkin mixed corn i think. abit too sweet for my liking. · Kyoho Ice Cream (Japanese Grape Flavour) with Kuri Kanronni (Boiled Chestnut) ($8.80)
- I love sorbet of any sorts. the taste of grape sorbet was delicious But I din like the fresh cream below. the chestnut was like a decoration But it was Just Ok.
