The Soup Restaurant is one of my top choices as the place to get good ol' comforting Chinese dishes. I'm sure many others feel the same way too as it was rather crowded on a late Tuesday evening. Once we sat down, we ordered our chrysanthemum tea and usual favourites:This is a must order for me whenever I dine at Soup Restaurant. Once we sat down, we ordered our chrysanthemum tea and usual favourites: This is a must order for me whenever I dine at Soup Restaurant. Boneless chicken, crunchy cold lettuce and the star of the dish, the ginger sauce, all together makes this dish such a great start to the meal. Pity I can't have thigh meat for all the pieces of chicken! I love how the tofu skin is thin and crisp while the insides remain soft and silky. Best eaten with the generous topping of coriander and spring onions and crunchy salty bits which till today, I still can't quite make out what they are. The gravy was a tad bit salty but mellowed out nicely with the tofu and of course, a bowl of white rice. We choose the spicy version and were not disappointed. It came piping hot which is always appreciated. Quite a generous portion too, would have easily fed three persons.
Definitely another enjoyable meal at Soup Restaurant.
