Bakery with Japanese Wordings usually catches my attention. "Mugi" refers to wheat while "Ya" in Japanese refers to house. Hokkaido Cream Bun was selected as I find it attractive with its bulging and light brown appearance. It looks a little bit rough at its exterior with little needle thin pockets, such exterior did not look as boring as the typical glossy looking buns and it made my choice. As I bite down the bun, I can feel the fluffiness lends the elasticity and springiness through the numerous yeast pockets and comes with a light cream taste.
Hokkaido Bun was rather malleable can gets re-shaped easily with just a few side push inwards the buns.
Flipped up the layer of the bun and got to see the tasty light cream within it. It tastes sweet and does not over powered the whole bread, amount of cream was consistent too. What a perfect combination.
