Crystal Jade offers an economic set meal called "Double deal". There are quite a few combinations for diners to choose. The Double deal we had is the one with duck stew and shark's fin that costs $32.80. For each set you ordered, you get to choose one dish from the list for only $1. What a deal! For that additional dish, we chose the salted egg yolk prawn. Very delicious! The big prawns are slightly deep-fried to crisp, and sauteed with golden egg yolk sauce to give such savoury flavour! Love it
The shark's fin is pretty ordinary, not much fins in it anyway. But I like how it's served with bean sprouts to give an extra texture to the broth.
The duck stew is my favourite. It's cooked with lots of yam at the bottom, some ginger slices, homemade sauce as well as some rice wine. The yam is so well-cooked that it absorbed all the good flavour of the duck and gravy. Very nice to go with rice.
Mango pudding ($4) is normal, cold and sweet, but nothing too 'wow' about.
Aloe Vera and honey ($3.80) is also not a bad try, refreshing, and it's supposed to be good for skin complexion.
