The KL Hokkien Mee ($4.50) is very different from the hokkien mee we are accustomed to. First it is freshly fried with lard in dark soya sauce, hence it's black coloured appearance. Next, the noodle used is much thicker, similar in texture to the noodles used in bee tai bak. The noodles are freshly fried from the wok and was served piping hot. The noodles were quite fragrant and tasty. There was a long queue for this noodles, but they cook in large batches so the turnover is quite fast. The cash

The cashier was also very cheerful and definitely made the wait more bearable.
