The first thing I noticed about Swensen is that the crowd is thinner as compared to last time. I guess it is perhaps the ever popular 1 for 1 mains promotion is over. I know Swensen used to be really crowded during that time because that promotion made me go there more frequently as well.I wanted something light so I ordered the soup and also a side, the bruschetta. I wanted something light so I ordered the soup and also a side, the bruschetta. The soup is the daily soup of the day. I think it is cream of chicken and corn soup. I found it a little salty. If only there is complimentary garlic toast, it would make the soup more perfect since even the slightly salty nature of the soup, it would be better if there is a bread dip.
The bruschetta is basically tomato salsa on top of garlic butter french loaf. I find the tomato salsa really tangy due to the slight sourness and it is contrasted with the parmesan cheese which is sprinkled on top of the toast. This can be easily replicated at home, but I really appreciate how Swensen does it. 張貼
