Ipoh Lou Yau at Centrepoint is probably one of the more reasonably priced eateries (save for the food court) with chicken hor fun going for as low as $4.90! They have a current promo where the second bowl of hor fun is at 50% off, so it pays to go with a friend, or in even numbers. They have a one person set meal, with consists of bean sprouts chicken and whole bowl of hor fun in soup, or rice, at $6.90.This hor fun goes for $4.90 and has bits of shredded chicken in it. I can't really see why it
All dishes are served with chilli sauce, and minced ginger in oil (not sure if it were garlic/chive oil?) and this really made all the difference to the food. The chilli wasn't too spicy, and the minced ginger gave the dish a lovely aroma. The oil was also super fragrant and when doused with the noodles and chicken, it really tasted fantastic!
We also ordered water chestnut ($2) which was slightly too sweet for me, and basically my entire experience felt like everything could have been improved (albeit drastically or slightly). I would say you get what you pay for, but sometimes we just wish that there could have been the best of both worlds.
