Monster Curry is one of the newer restaurants to open at ION's basement. It's located just in front of the basement food court. Well, I usually have a small appetite but decided to challenge myself to the MONSTER EGG CURRY COMBO ($24)! It came on a massively huge plate (which is super heavy) and had Fried Shrimp, Chicken Tori Karaage, Omlette and an Onsen egg. Personally, I'm not much of a curry fan since I don't take spicy food. But like the usual Japanese curry, the curry here was more on the sweet side and wasn't too spicy for me. You can actually choose 5 different spice levels that you want (the hottest is Level 5: Monster Hot), but the service staff did not ask us for our individual spice level and probably served us the Level 1: Normal Hot one. The restaurant is usually packed for dinner and they do not have many seats, so be prepared to queue for about 15 - 20 minutes if you decide to go on a weekday. overall, the food was good but the service staff lacked friendliness and were rather clueless/ not helpful when we asked them about our order.
