This is, my favorite stall for fried prawn noodle. And this too, is one of the most famous stalls in the west for fried prawn noodle. It is not difficult to hunt for this stall in this food centre even without knowing the name of the stall. You just need to take notice of a particular stall with rows of paper boxes piling up then this is definitely the right stall to look for. There are $4.00, $5.00 and $6.00 for your selection. And, you might want to take note that this stall is operated from 4.30 pm onward.
The best timing to be here is before 6.00 pm to avoid the long waiting time. It might be quite deceiving to think it has no queue if you did not see any right in front of this stall. Most people usually ordered and seated nearby to wait for their orders.
And now, let me tell you why this is my favorite stall for Prawn Noodle. I have yet to come across another stall that served dry version of fried prawn noodle. You might be wondering why this is so special as fried prawn noodle is supposed to be dry. When i said dry, i meant the noodle is not soaking in the stock but completely dry.
The ingredients like prawns and squids are really fresh. I have been eating at this stall for a long while and yet to be served any sub standard ingredients. My usual order is $4.00 portion, quite a few pieces of squid and 3 pieces of prawns are fried together with the noodle in the savory prawn stock. And, you can have the option to have both red cut chillies and sambal chilli. For taking away, the noodle is nicely wrapped in a sheet of plastic then placed it in the paper box.
I usually take away and have it at home. After a 45 minutes of travelling time to go home, the noodles still remain to be dry and tasted really good.
