From far you will be able to spot their shop house. There's one time I was craving for Nasi Lemak and decided to head there but couldn't find their shop house. Then I thought they have closed down since I can't spot their signage.Luckily, my sis boyfriend drove passed and she told me it is still there just that they are close on every Monday. Oh well, blame it on the signage.

The interior is quite similar as Toast Box I would say - there's this old school feel to it. I went in and I was searching high and low in hope to find their menu. If you are a first timer here forget about the menu, just grab the plate and scoop the rice. Basically at Nasi Lemak Kukus it is buffer style. So you grab whatever you like including the amount of chili you want; there's no restriction here and you don't get frown when you ask for extra chili! They have 2 types of chili one is sweet and one is more spicy.

One note to bear in mind is that keep your dishes to 3 maximum else when you make payment you will get a fright.

I had a little bit of these and that - terriyaki chicken, hot dog, cabbage, egg and ayam chicken with small portion of rice for the price of $7.50.

When I make payment, I was really shock by the price as I feel a little deceive by the lack of menu display. So there's no guide to how they charge. Everyone has their own preference on the amount of food they want - they will scoop more for dishes they like and scoop a little bit for dishes they want to try out. So if let say a person scoop 2 pieces of the hot dog how are they going to charge? There were a few people asking the cashier for breakdown on how they charge. I will suggest them to have a menu sign board so as a consumer you know beforehand the pricing for the individual dishes and then you can work out the Maths.

If you want to play safe, just order the standard set which is $4.

Still, when I sat down and had my meal the price I paid was worth it! I have to admit their Nasi Lamak is nice!

I even take away for my mum despite the price tag.

If you are here you must try out their unique vietnamese drip coffee ($2).
