When I walked past the outlet the first week the Salted Egg Yolk Burger was out, I was met with a sold out poster. Finally it was available this time when I walked past the fast food outlet again.I ordered the set which cost $9.10. Salted Egg Yolk Chicken BurgerBreaded whole-muscle chicken topped with mouth-watering salted egg yolk flavoured sauce and finished with crunchy lettuce and fragrant curry leaves. All tucked between a black pepper and white sesame bun.
I asked for extra sauce when placing the order. It came with no extra charge. When I unwrapped the package, it was messy of the thick sauce. The sauce was rich and thick but lacking of the salted egg yolk taste. Felt that there was too much custard powder in the sauce. The chicken patty was quite thin, when compared to McSpicy Burger.
Twist & Shake FriesCrispy, golden curly fries dusted with tantalising salt and pepper crab flavoured shaker. Indulge in this new irresistible treat!
The fries although not very crispy, were surprisingly tasty on its own, without the salt and pepper seasoning. It was better than the in house normal fries.
Banana PieDelicious flaky crust filled with warm banana bits. It’s simply ‘sedap’!
The pie was its usual crispy apple pie crust, filled with caramlised, melt in the mouth banana in it. It really tasted not bad.
Salted Caramel Dip Cone ($1.20)The classic vanilla soft serve cone with its soft serve dipped in salted caramel sauce. The combination of the hard slightly caramelised crust with the cold milky soft serve was a great one.
Overall not bad except for the burger. Guess it needed more time for R & D. By the way do not order the iced milo at this outlet. It looked normal but there was none of the Milo taste in it. Worse than plain water. The hot version was slightly better but still very weak in taste.
