Everyone knows that Saveur serves decent French food at affordable prices, and of course I'm not gonna miss out on this great deal! Where else could you get foie gras for $7.90?! The pan-seared foie gras was soft, delicate and oily - a little too oily my for liking, but nevertheless nice and oh so melt-in-your-mouth. The 2 pieces of duck liver were served atop creamy lentils accompanied with pickled pearl onions. This is definitely a great starter and extremely value for money!
I've never had duck leg confit before hence I don't have a benchmark. But even then, I knew that this was good, especially for a price of just $12.90! The duck skin was crispy and the duck leg was tender and came apart easily. The mashed potato was soft and creamy. This is definitely THE place to go if you're looking for nice and affordable French food!
